Oh thank you so much for sharing this with us her blogging family. We loved her and knew how special she was with her very first blogging post.
My heart breaks thinking of her leaving so young and leaving all of you but I know she is in a wonderful place and never far from all of our thoughts. She will never be forgotten. She was so special for all those traits you have shared there will only be one Leontien.
Thank you who ever wrote this tribute it is so beautiful. My prayers are with all of you, I can only imagine how you feel as my heart is still broken. We will miss "Sweet Lady". hugs B

So wonderful that you have shared this tribute with us! A tribute to a wonderful woman, but... I also know that without you, she could not have done what she did! You were a wonderful support and blessing to her life, and you can also take comfort from this! Hope to see you here some more,as this is a place that was a place of comfort to Leontien, and can be, also , to you. Many Blessings!

How precious - to have a love like this.

"Is it better to have loved and lost or never to have loved at all?"

I think to loved and lost.

I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

Thank you for sharing this. I read of my dear Leontien's passing on the blog post and could not comment. For someone who I never met, and never will, she touched me in a way no one else has or will. Words I am sure you have heard before. But she, this, woman, this amazing creature, Leontien, was like no one else. She had many "followers" - yet, somehow, she reached out, and "IN" and "got" us in the very best of ways. She has left a gaping hole in my heart and in this world.

I have Melanoma too. Perhaps that's what connected us. Perhaps it was just her beautiful soul and spirit. How I miss you my funny, witty, lovely, friend....Forever yours, The Cranky Crow....Robin

I don't think a day has passed that I haven't thought of Leontien and wished I could hear her thoughts. What tales she could be telling us now! I have kept my copy of her memorial folder in a special place where it brings a smile each time I see it. Prayers for all her family as you carry on.
I was driving yesterday and listening to the radio and heard this quote by Edna St Vincent Millay. I immediately thought of Leontien:

"My candle burns at both ends It will not last the night;
But ah, my foes, and oh, my friends -
It gives a lovely light."

To have known such a kind and loving person as Leontien, through blogging, was a privilege.
To take time out to put up this post was very considerate.
Thoughts of compassion and caring are with you from all over the world.

I just learned today about Leontien's passing. I have been staying with my dear Mother, who has since passed,also. Dealing with the death of someone as close as a spouse or a parent or child is the hardest thing I have done.I am hurting still from the loss of my Mother. I try daily to recollect the happy moments with her, as I am sure you are doing with your dear Leontien. I followed her posts occasionally, and will continue to check is when I can. My heart aches for you during this time of healing and acceptance,as you grapple with the fact that she is truly gone.You are in my prayers.
